Q: Will the smell fade over time?
A:This product is fragrance-free so the scent is coming from the base ingredients.
Q: Will it make my skin oily?
A: This product is technically water-based (green tea based) so the product absorbs into your skin really nicely and doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily.
Q: Can I use another pump on your refill bottles?
A: You can certainly try, but there’s no guarantee that other pumps will fit your refill bottle. We recommend purchasing our regular SKU first so you know that you have a pump for easy application that fits.
Q: What is the difference in the regular and refill bottles?
A:The difference between our regular and refill bottles is that our regular bottles come with a pump cap to dispense your product, and that you can reuse in the future when you purchase refills. Our refill bottles come with a recyclable aluminum lid that you can replace with your pump.
Q: Is the packaging 100% plastic free?
A: Unfortunately, our packaging for this product isn’t 100% plastic free. The packaging includes a dropper cap, made of plastic, silicone, and glass to dispense your product. There’s also a plastic piece inserted into the dropper bottles that allow for a clean, mess-free application. We offer refill bottles so that you can reuse all of these plastic pieces in your refill. All you have to do is sanitize the pieces you’re going to place into your new refill. We chose to go this route because of the hydration and formula benefits in a water-based solution, rather than in a serum in a bar format, which may be difficult to use.
Q: Can I use this with other brand’s products?
A: Yes, you can absolutely use our Daily Antioxidant Serum with other brand’s products. Some blogs recommend that you don’t use Vitamin C in tandem with products that contain AHAs and BHAs, such as glycolic, salicylic, and lactic acids, which may make it less effective. Using it alongside your moisturizer, cleanser, SPF, and makeup is totally safe.
Q: Why is the product so orange? Are there artificial dyes?
A: We use a natural, effective ingredient, called Astaxanthin, which is derived from microalgae and is 550x more potent in antioxidants than Vitamin E. Antioxidants protect and delay the cells on your skin from damage. This product is free from any artificial coloring or dyes. Fun fact: The astaxanthin microalgae is actually the reason why salmon is so orange (a similar color).
Q:Will the color of the product stain/tint my skin?
A:No, the product absorbs into skin quickly and does not leave any sort of tint.
